CommonSpirit Health, serving the San Bernardino community, seeks a Director Nursing ICU for St. Bernardine Medical Center. You will plan, implement, and coordinate performance across critical care units, guiding staff and senior leaders to sustain high patient care standards in a fast-paced environment.
You will lead diverse ICU services, advise on best practices, and communicate organizational goals to frontline teams, driving patient experience and quality outcomes.
As our Director Nursing ICU for St. Bernardine Medical Center, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating the overall performance of our critical care services. You will oversee Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Dialysis services.
Every day, you will direct the operations, work with senior leadership on key initiatives, and collaborate with other front‑line leaders to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care in very fast‑paced environments. You will advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators on patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies. You will communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care.
To be successful in this role, you need to be an experienced director with a track record of success in mid‑to‑large sized hospitals overseeing critical care/ICU services. You must be competent and confident, with excellent communication skills in one‑on‑one and group settings.
