Job summary

Concorde Career Colleges, Inc. invites a seasoned Director of Nursing Education to lead curriculum development, faculty development, and regulatory compliance across the nursing program.

The role ensures accreditation readiness and student-centered outcomes in a dynamic post-secondary setting. The candidate will collaborate with campus and corporate leaders to maintain program quality, drive continuous improvement, and engage with regulatory bodies and community stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Master’s in Nursing required; doctorate preferred.
  • Active RN license in the state of employment.
  • Must meet State Board qualifications to direct a nursing program.
  • Over 2+ years teaching in accredited BSN nursing program; 5+ years nursing leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for curriculum development and evaluation to align with industry standards and student outcomes.
  • Oversee faculty management including hiring, orientation, mentorship, performance evaluation and compliance.
  • Coordinate academic planning: course schedules, faculty assignments, resource needs for timely student progression.
  • Monitor student performance, advising practices, licensure preparation, and engagement for academic achievement.
  • Maintain compliant student records, faculty evaluations, and program documentation per accreditor and policy.
  • Represent the program in internal/external forums with regulatory bodies and community partners.
  • Maintain open communication with students, faculty, clinical partners, and leaders to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Lead continuous improvement by analyzing feedback and implementing action plans.
  • Serve as liaison with Board of Nursing and accrediting agencies for timely reports.
  • Promote professional development and engagement among faculty.
  • Participate in student events such as graduations and orientations.
  • Lead a high-performance team to achieve business results.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Overview

Director of Nursing Education

The Director of Nursing Education oversees the academic quality, student satisfaction, and operational efficiency of the nursing department. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with state board of nursing regulations, accrediting agencies, and Concorde Career Colleges policies. The Director leads faculty development, drives curriculum implementation and evaluation, and promotes a student-centered learning environment. The position partners with campus and corporate leaders to maintain program accreditation and excellence, while also serving as the primary liaison with regulatory and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for curriculum development implementation and ongoing evaluation to ensure alignment with industry standards regulatory requirements and student success outcomes
  • Oversee faculty management including hiring orientation mentorship performance evaluation and ensuring compliance with instructional and institutional expectations
  • Guide academic planning by coordinating course schedules faculty assignments and resource needs to support timely student progression and program quality
  • Monitor and evaluate student performance advising practices licensure preparation and student engagement to ensure academic achievement and readiness for professional practice
  • Ensure accurate and compliant maintenance of student records faculty evaluations and program documentation in alignment with accreditor Board of Nursing and institutional policies
  • Represent the program in internal and external forums including regulatory bodies community partnerships advisory boards and campus committees supporting policy development and compliance efforts
  • Maintain active communication with students faculty clinical partners and administrative leaders to promote a positive learning environment and resolve concerns promptly
  • Support continuous improvement through analysis of feedback from students clinical sites and surveys implementing action plans that enhance program effectiveness
  • Serve as the liaison with the Board of Nursing and accrediting agencies ensuring timely submission of reports and maintaining program compliance with evolving regulations
  • Promote professional development and engagement among faculty and self through continuing education industry participation and scholarly contributions
  • Actively participate in student-centered events such as graduations orientations and pinning ceremonies to foster a culture of support and celebration
  • Establish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics

Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications

  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment (required)

Education/Experience

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) required; doctorate degree preferred
  • Must meet all State Board of Nursing qualifications to direct a nursing program (required)
  • Must have over two (2+) years of experience teaching in an accredited BSN nursing program
  • Over five (5+) years of professional nursing experience and leadership in a post-secondary environment

Work Environment

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.
  • This position is designated as on campus or onsite. Work environments may include exposure to student learning environments with a variety of conditions. Employees must be able to follow all safety precautions including the use of personal-protective equipment. Employees must also be able to adhere to site-specific safety procedures.

Starting salary: $120,000+ depending on experience
