Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors in Denver seeks a senior attorney to oversee day-to-day disclosure and regulatory matters for its U.S. registered funds, including JIF, JAS, DST, and CST. You will provide independent legal judgment and sign off on registrations, with escalation to the CLO as needed.

You will lead the disclosure team, manage filings, and ensure timely, accurate disclosures while supporting product development and fund reorganizations from a regulatory perspective.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active US state bar.
• Experience advising US registered investment companies under the 1940 Act and SEC rules.
• Hands-on experience with registration statements (Form N-1A), prospectus, and SAI.
• Experience leading a disclosure team with standards and workflow management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to translate complex regulatory matters.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and decision-making skills with attention to accuracy.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act as an independent fiduciary.
• Team player with flexibility for extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary senior attorney for day-to-day disclosure and regulatory matters across four Trusts.
• Lead the disclosure team, setting priorities and ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Prepare and sign-off on Form N-1A registrations and updates.
• Oversee regulatory filings, proxy statements, shareholder reports, and risk disclosures.
• Provide legal support for product development and fund reorganizations from a disclosure perspective.
• Establish centralized work intake and resource planning across Trusts.
• Champion disclosure automation and process improvements.
• Develop cross-training to reduce key-person risk and support scalability.
• Translate complex regulatory information into guidance for business partners and management.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, board staff, and internal business units.
