Job summary

Front Range Community College seeks an inaugural Director of Infrastructure and Maintenance to lead Facilities Services across three Colorado campuses, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient operations that support student success.

You will guide directors and staff, manage budgets, drive audits, and coordinate with senior leadership on long‑range facilities planning and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Seven years of increasingly responsible professional experience in facilities management including the supervision of staff, construction/project management, contract management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Infrastructure and Maintenance across three campuses, guiding Assistant Directors and Facilities Services staff while establishing departmental goals, policies, and performance standards aligned with institutional priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Lead recruitment, coaching, and performance management to build a culture of accountability, engagement, continuous improvement, and safe hazardous materials handling practices, including Bloodborne Pathogens compliance.
• Partner with the AVP of Facilities to develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring responsible resource stewardship and identifying operational and fiscal efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, EPA, NFPA, Life Safety Code, NEC, UBC, and UPC requirements across all campuses.
• Lead internal audits, environmental health programs, chemical inventory and SDS systems, and hazardous spill response development.
• Serve on institutional committees focused on campus infrastructure, safety, and environmental quality; contribute to emergency response and continuity planning.
• Maintain chemical inventory databases for teaching and research activities, ensuring reporting compliance.
• Direct multi-campus inspection programs and coordinate capital construction planning and deferred maintenance strategies.
• Lead emergency preparedness and continuity of operations planning in coordination with Campus Safety.
