The Director translates approved TA and asset strategies into clear account priorities, portfolio decisions, and execution expectations; ensures CEILs build trusted scientific relationships, generate actionable account insights, and identify care-delivery, evidence-generation, quality-improvement, and Implementation Science opportunities with the potential for measurable patient and health-system impact. The role provides strategic and people leadership for the CEIL team by establishing consistent standards for account prioritization, scientific exchange, opportunity qualification, intervention execution, insight generation, and cross-functional collaboration. In partnership with CEIL leadership, TA/CDMA, the Implementation Science team, and relevant account partners, the Director evaluates emerging opportunities, governs deployment of team capacity and resources, supports execution of approved interventions, and escalates material portfolio or investment decisions through established governance. Through active field coaching, performance management, and continuous improvement, the Director builds team capability, reinforces compliant and ethical decision-making, and evolves the CEIL operating model in response to changing healthcare-system needs while maintaining alignment with Medicine strategy.

Resolve role-boundary or coordination issues and strengthen collaboration across CEIL, TA/CDMA, MSL, market access, account, and other relevant partners.

Care-Gap, Patient-Journey, and Implementation Science Opportunity Leadership

Build team capability and establish a consistent approach for identifying and characterizing account-level barriers across the patient journey, including workflow, stakeholder alignment, readiness, data availability, and capacity for change. Review and challenge opportunity assessments and briefs to ensure they are evidence based and aligned with approved TA priorities. In partnership with the Medical implementation Science team and TA/CDMA leadership, govern the qualification, prioritization, and advancement of opportunities for evidence generation, quality improvement, healthcare transformation, or Implementation Science collaboration.

Approved Intervention and Pilot Execution Oversight

Provide leadership oversight for CEIL participation in approved Implementation Science, quality-improvement, evidence-generation, and healthcare-transformation interventions. Clarify accountability, decision rights, and escalation pathways; ensure appropriate stakeholder alignment, onboarding, workflow integration, monitoring, and issue resolution; and confirm execution remains within approved scientific, compliance, governance, and measurement parameters. Use implementation learning to strengthen subsequent account selection, intervention design, and field execution.

Insight Generation, Synthesis, and Organizational Learning

Establish expectations and quality standards for the identification, documentation, synthesis, and communication of actionable account insights. Integrate themes across customers and therapeutic areas to identify healthcare-system trends, evidence needs, patient-journey barriers, market developments, and scalable opportunities. Ensure insights reach the appropriate Medicine, TA/CDMA, and account stakeholders and are translated into clear implications for strategy, planning, evidence generation, and execution.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $230,400 to $345,600. The position may be eligible for a role specific discretionary bonus, relocation, and/or other compensation elements.
