Job summary

Midland-Marvel Recruiters, LLC is partnering with a community hospital in Atlanta, GA to appoint a Laboratory Director who will oversee daily operations of the clinical laboratory, ensure timely reporting, and lead a skilled team in a partnership model.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in medical lab science (Master’s preferred), brings at least five years in leadership with direct reports, and has experience with CAP/CLIA accreditation and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Provides leadership to laboratory staff and directs day-to-day lab operations.
• Manages operational or project budgets and resource planning.
• Ensures adherence to QA, safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

Community hospital looking to bring on Laboratory Director! Sign on Bonus and Relocation!

Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate laboratory reporting, directing day-to-day operations of the clinical laboratory in a labor management partnership environment, including both credentialed and non-credentialed personnel; maintaining competency in laboratory testing and performing bench work as appropriate; and establishing strategies for aligning with quality assurance, safety, compliance, regulatory, and accreditation standards and activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in medical lab science or equivalent, or health care related field
• Master’s highly preferred.
• Minimum four (4) years of experience managing operational or project budgets.
• Minimum five (8) years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports in a healthcare related field.
• CAP/CLIA accreditation management
