Job summary

St. Peter’s Health Partners seeks a system-level leader for the Department of Laboratory Services. This role coordinates administrative, fiscal and technical activities in consultation with the Chief of Pathology to ensure efficient operations and ethical compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a four-year degree (clinical lab field preferred), a NYS CLT license, and extensive management experience, with an MBA preferred. This is an on-site leadership position within the Albany area.

Qualifications

• Four year degree, preferably in Medical Technology.
• Master’s level in Business Administration preferred.
• Hold a valid New York State License from the NYS Department of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT).
• Eight years’ experience, four years managing a clinical laboratory, and meets NYSDOH supervisory qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides, coordinates and evaluates the Administrative, fiscal and technical activities of the Department of Laboratory Services.
• Consults with the Chief of Pathology to assure efficient operation.
• Complies with Corporate Compliance Office directives and Board of Trustees approvals.

Education

Position Summary

A system level position in St. Peter’s Health Partners who provides, coordinates and evaluates the Administrative, fiscal and technical activities of the Department of Laboratory Services in consultation with the Chief of Pathology to assure the efficient operation of the Department. Demonstrates the organizations' commitment to sound ethical business practices as directed by the Corporate Compliance Office and approved by the Board of Trustees.

Education Requirements

Four year degree, preferably in Medical Technology

Prefer Master’s level in Business Administration

Hold a valid New York State License from the Department of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT)

Experience Requirements

Eight year’s experience, four years managing a clinical laboratory, and meets the supervisory qualifications of the New York State Department of Health

Pay Range: $68.90 - $92.75

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
