Tailored Brands, Inc. in New York seeks a Director of Design for Knits & Sweaters and Designer for Bottoms, Denim & Outerwear. You will lead seasonal strategy, own hands-on design, and translate customer insights into commercially viable products.

You will partner with merchandising, planning, sourcing, and production, using AI-powered design tools to speed ideation, digital prototyping, and virtual sampling, ensuring on-brand, high-quality sportswear collections.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in apparel design or product development.
• Strong knowledge of knits, sweaters, and related categories such as bottoms and outerwear.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish seasonal strategy and creative direction across knits, sweaters, casual bottoms, denim, and outerwear.
• Lead the knits and sweaters category while owning design for bottoms, denim, and outerwear.
• Design and develop seasonal products from concept through final sample approval; guide ventures from silhouettes to finishes.
• Set standards for fit, fabrication, quality, and construction; approve lab dips, trims, and samples.
• Collaborate with merchandising, planning, sourcing, and vendors to align direction with margin and timelines.
• Lead vendor and cross-functional reviews; address design, feasibility, costing, and delivery issues.
