Job summary

Ross-Simons, a premier jewelry retailer, seeks a Director of Merchandising for Cranston, RI. This role owns strategy across assigned product categories, shaping long-range direction and final assortment decisions.

You will partner with sourcing, product development, and senior leadership, leading a team to deliver the category vision. On-site, hybrid, or remote work options are supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Merchandising, jewelry, and/or DTC consumer goods experience.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Achievement oriented with leadership ability, including delegation and coaching.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Own assigned categories end to end with long-range direction and growth opportunities.
• Translate objectives into category strategy and build action plans.
• Develop the seasonal line plan in partnership with Design and own the assortment vision.
• Monitor performance and adapt to trends with a clear point of view.
• Lead hindsighting and apply learnings to future assortments.
• Set and reprioritize work for the merchandising team and partners.
• Anticipate roadblocks and develop proactive solutions.
• Collaborate with VP and C-level leaders on objectives and category direction.
• Coach Team members and contribute to talent planning and development.
