The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

A Typical Day

The Director, Intake and Operations, enforces the structural integrity of the intake process, and optimizes the operational mechanics and intake pipeline of the RWJBarnabas Health shared-services content studio. This role holds primary responsibility for the 'Single Front Door' infrastructure, resource capacity tracking, traffic management, and the routing of all marketing campaigns, enterprise communications, and content briefs across the health system. The Director will serve as the administrative and operational engine behind the Weekly Editorial Council and meticulously maintain the Integrated System Calendar to ensure a single, uncompromised system voice. This role directly manages the Intake and Operations Associates, provides functional coordination across the broader content studio production teams, and reports directly to the AVP, Intake & Content Studio.

  • Manage and optimize the automated Single Front Door intake software infrastructure, ensuring all project entries are processed efficiently and structured uniformly
  • Serve as the primary structural gatekeeper for the Content Studio, auditing submissions against enterprise compliance rules and rejecting requests that bypass established workflows
  • Provide direct administrative leadership, professional development, and operational oversight to project managers and marketing coordinators within the intake vertical
  • Organize, prepare, and facilitate the administrative execution of the Weekly Editorial Council, tracking all approvals, adjustments, and cross-functional dependencies
  • Govern the continuous accuracy and cross-functional updates of the Integrated System Calendar, ensuring total system alignment for all public-facing touchpoints
  • Analyze incoming strategic briefs to ensure distributed teams have provided required data points, clear target metrics, and verified executive stakeholder sign-offs
  • Enforce the system s formal threshold rules, immediately routing day-to-day local items back to regional autonomy tracks while escalating complex campaign metrics to the council
  • Partner side-by-side with Regional and Service Line Leads from both Marketing and Communications to provide training on intake compliance and brief formulation
  • Track and report intake volume trends, submission error rates, and system utilization patterns to the VP, Intake & Content Studio to optimize system capacity
  • Uphold corporate lines in the sand, systematically deflecting out-of-scope regional requests such as executive administrative coordination or minor event support
This Role Might Be For You If ...
  • Deep operational knowledge of creative development, trafficking and approval models, enterprise project intake systems, and master data management principles.
  • Exceptional organizational and workflow mapping skills, with a proven track record of optimizing high-volume digital intake processes
  • Strong leadership and people-management capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to adhere to agreed-upon deliverable timing, enforce policy compliance across multi-disciplinary networks. Drive marketing calendar scheduling adherence.
  • Proven proficiency with advanced project management platforms (e.g. Workfront, Asana, Monday.com) and enterprise digital scheduling software
  • Excellent analytical and screening skills, with a sophisticated ability to assess strategic brief completeness and clear ROI metrics
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain diplomatic authority when enforcing policy compliance with senior executives
  • Advanced mastery of corporate governance frameworks, brand management parameters, and complex compliance tracking
  • Solid problem-solving capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to untangle cross-functional timeline dependencies early in the production pipeline
  • 9. Practical understanding of the distinct functional differences between growth marketing execution and brand-building/reputation communications management.
  • High level of reliability, detail orientation, and structural thinking required to manage large-scale corporate metadata and calendar networks
  • Absolute commitment to upholding enterprise operational boundaries, brand guidelines, and executive governance mandates
  • Superior communication and instructional skills, with the capacity to train cross-functional system stakeholders on workflow parameters
