Job summary

Louisiana Tech University seeks a Director of the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) and a part-time Instructor in the Human Development and Family Science program. This 10-month, full-time appointment combines leadership of a premier laboratory school with teaching responsibilities within the HDFS program in Ruston, LA.

The Director will provide vision and daily oversight of the ECEC, supervise staff, and collaborate with faculty to integrate the center into academic programming.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in relevant field.
• Experience in early childhood program administration or leadership.
• Teaching or mentoring college students preferred.
• Strong commitment to developmentally appropriate practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and administration of the ECEC, supervising staff and ensuring licensing compliance.
• Teach three undergraduate courses in HDFS per academic year.
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate the ECEC into curriculum and experiential learning.
• Engage with families and community partners to promote program excellence.
