Job summary

Advocate South Suburban Hospital, part of Advocate Health, is seeking a Nursing Administration leader to coordinate operations, lead day-to-day administration, and drive strategic initiatives. The role is exempt, primarily day shift with potential rotation to off shifts and weekends and on-call duties.

The position requires a BSN and a Master’s degree (or BSN with MSN) and at least 5 years of healthcare leadership experience; Critical Care experience is preferred and Nurse Executive

Qualifications

• BSN and Masters degree any field OR Bachelor´s in Nursing with MSN required.
• Minimum 5 years in healthcare leadership.
• Critical Care experience preferred.
• RN certification: Nurse Executive Certification and/or specialty certification preferred (or within 2 years of hire).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer operational aspects to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Develop and implement strategic plans aligning with Advocate Health Care/South Suburban Hospital mission and values.
• Lead strategic planning, marketing, and new service line development for inpatient and outpatient programs.
• Promote services in collaboration with other disciplines and departments.
• Develop and implement policies and standards following quality guidelines (DNV, CMS, OSHA, etc.).

Schedule Details/Additional Information:

This position is exempt, working primarily on day shift but may be required to rotate rounding on off shifts and weekends and be available 24/7 for assigned areas and as administrator on call.

Pay Range: $68.20 - $102.30

Major Responsibilities

• Coordination and administration of all operational aspects to ensure effective high quality care for patients.
• Development and implementation of strategic plans that integrate the goals of Advocate Health Care/South Suburban Hospital’s Mission, Values, and Philosophy.
• Lead strategic planning, marketing, and new service line/program development efforts for assigned service lines, both inpatient and outpatient programs, in collaboration with business development.
• Market and promote service in conjunction with other disciplines and departments.
• Development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards which follow quality management, DNV, IDPH, CMS, CDC, OSHA, and other external guidelines.
• Responsible for professional and personal growth and development.

Education and experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) and Masters Degree any field OR Bachelors Degree any field with a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Minimum 5 years in healthcare leadership.
• Critical Care experience preferred.
• Nurse, Registered (RN) Certification: Nurse Executive Certification and/or certification in specialty preferred (or within 2 years of hire into position)
