Job summary

United Services Group seeks a Director of Operations to lead project execution across our specialty welding, mechanical construction, prefabrication, machining, and industrial field-service operations. This senior role demands deep experience in estimating, staffing, mobilizing, executing, and delivering profitable industrial work.

You’ll guide bids across lump-sum, unit-rate, time-and-material, and managed-task models, translate bid assumptions into budgets, and drive safety, quality, schedule,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive industrial construction or operations leadership experience.
• Strong background in piping, welding, mechanical construction, fabrication.
• Experience leading field operations in both union and non-union environments.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, scopes of work, schedules, and bid documents.
• Solid financial acumen and understanding of project profitability, margins and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution across project managers, supervision, field crews, fabrication ops, and operations support.
• Own operational performance across safety, quality, schedule, productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
• Involve in estimating on piping, welding, prefabrication, mechanical installation, and industrial service bids.
• Review labor hours, productivity assumptions, and resource requirements; align execution plans with budgets.
• Drive bids across lump-sum, unit-rate, time-and-material, and other models; translate bid assumptions into budgets and manpower plans.
