Job Summary: The Director of Human Resources reports directly to the Vice President of Human Resources and is responsible for delivering strategic, operational HR support and integrated HR services for JPS Health Network. The position leads and evaluates all aspects of the employee experience throughout the employee life cycle and develops and implements processes that align team members with the JPS Health Network strategy. In partnership with senior leaders, the Director is responsible for deploying appropriate HR interventions that solve organizational challenges and integrating the employment brand into all programs across the network. The Director, Human Resources, serves as a strategic leader within the HR organization, overseeing HR operations and HR Business partnerships throughout our network, including hospital operations, the Acclaim physician group, JPS Police, Correctional Health Services, and Community Health. This position ensures operational excellence, monitoring and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the HR team. This role is pivotal in developing and guiding HR strategies tailored to meet the needs of our complex organization in compliance with the Joint Commission and other regulatory standards. Responsibilities encompass overseeing Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) who assist leaders in developing and implementing effective people strategies, optimizing workforce performance, achieving business objectives, and ensuring HR compliance. The role also oversees Employee Relations, which is responsible for managing workplace conflicts, employee-based workplace violence, ensuring compliance with employment laws and policies, fostering a positive work environment, and handling issues such as disciplinary actions and grievances to maintain a productive and harmonious workplace environment. This position ensures the organization maintains a competent workforce, manages employment-related risks, and promotes robust employee engagement and retention strategies, collaborating with the business leaders and the other HR centers of excellence leaders to enhance the overall employee experience.
