Sanofi Inc. is seeking a Human Factors & Usability Engineering Director in Morristown (NJ) or Cambridge (MA) to lead critical HF/UE programs across the Global Device and Packaging Unit.

You will drive strategy, governance, and regulatory engagement to ensure user-centered design throughout the product lifecycle. The role demands a deep HF/UE expertise, senior leadership influence, and a track record of delivering regulatory-compliant solutions, with opportunities to mentor teams and shape

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Human Factors/related field.
• 10+ years in Human Factors and Usability Engineering with experience in combination product development.
• Proven track record delivering regulatory-compliant HF/UE solutions.
• Experience leading HF/UE programs with minimal oversight.
• Experience supporting health authority interactions (FDA, EMA, Notified Bodies, NMPA).

Responsibilities

• Lead complex HF/UE programs across the portfolio from early-stage needs to Lifecycle Management.
• Oversee user needs, URRA, study design/execution, DHF/UEF documentation, regulatory strategy.
• Shape HF/UE vision and roadmap with senior leadership.
• Engage with health authorities across combination products and devices.
• Improve HF/UE processes, tools, and templates for scalability and compliance.
• Influence cross-functional teams to embed user-centered design without formal authority.
• Mentor HF/UE professionals and build organizational capability.
• Advance HF/UE through industry standards and best practices.
