Job summary

Kettering Health is seeking a Director of Hospital Coding and Clinical Documentation Integrity in Miamisburg, Ohio. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in health information management, nursing, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in hospital coding, CDI, HIM, revenue cycle, or related operations.
• Minimum 3 years in leadership of coding, CDI, HIM, or related teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for hospital coding and CDI programs across the system.
• Oversee inpatient and outpatient coding operations, CDI program performance, and documentation improvement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, payer, and organizational requirements while partnering with clinical and operational leaders.
• Lead initiatives to improve coding accuracy, documentation quality, and revenue cycle performance.
• Direct internal auditing, denials management, and regulatory risk oversight.
