Job summary
Valley Health System seeks an experienced healthcare attorney to advise on a broad range of regulatory, operational, governance, and transactional matters affecting the organization. The attorney will partner with Compliance, Risk Management, HR, Privacy & Security to identify and mitigate legal risks and provide pragmatic guidance for day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate has a JD, a current U.S. license to practice law, and at least ten years of relevant experience supporting health
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school is required.
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Ten years of legal practice advising nonprofit hospitals or health systems on regulatory, operational, transactional, governance, employment and litigation matters.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on healthcare, regulatory, operational, and business matters.
- Partner with Compliance, Risk Management, HR, Privacy & Security to identify and mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
- Manage litigation, oversee outside counsel, and support complex healthcare initiatives.
