Job summary

Ankura is seeking a Director for Healthcare Disputes to lead data analytics projects for high-profile investigations and commercial disputes. You will manage engagement workstreams, supervise junior staff, translate analyses into defensible findings, and support client relationships within a fast-paced environment.

The role is ideal for hybrid work (2-3 days on-site) from NY, DC, LA, or Chicago, with a focus on predictive analytics, risk adjustment, and value-based care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related discipline.
• Six+ years of experience in healthcare litigation consulting, economic consulting, or data-driven disputes advisory.
• Direct experience supporting complex healthcare litigation, investigations, damages calculations, expert reports, or other high-stakes engagements.
• Experience analyzing healthcare claims, reimbursement, eligibility, enrollment, provider data.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Python, R, or SAS.
• Experience managing engagement workstreams and supervising junior staff.
• Ability to explain complex analyses to nontechnical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage significant engagement workstreams, including planning, staffing, budgeting, deadlines, and client/counsel coordination.
• Direct and review development of complex analytical models using databases, programming languages, spreadsheets, and other tools.
• Interpret analytical results in healthcare, economic, regulatory, and legal contexts.
• Ensure analyses are accurate, reproducible, documented, and suitable for litigation and investigations.
• Supervise data gathering, document review, data assessment, and quality-control procedures.
• Apply analytical techniques to risk adjustment, claims reimbursement, managed care, and value-based care.
• Contribute to development of methodologies, tools, and client offerings.
• Support business development and thought leadership in healthcare litigation issues.
• Develop subject-matter expertise in healthcare topics relevant to disputes.
