  • Build a culture of accountability, agility, and customer-centric execution; attract, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Own financial forecasting and margin management for the portfolio while clearly communicating the financial reasoning behind decisions to stakeholders.
  • Develop business cases and investment strategies to maximize contribution margin and long-term portfolio value.

Come join our team where you’ll make technology happen in surprising ways. Let’s shape tomorrow - it’ll be a fun journey!

The Director, Growth & Vendor Strategy is a senior business leader responsible for accelerating growth, profitability, and platform engagement across a portfolio of technology vendors. This role owns the strategic direction and operating performance of the portfolio, ensuring alignment with Ingram Micro's digital-first business model and its Xvantage™ platform strategy.

You will be accountable for revenue growth, margin expansion, and platform adoption through a modern, data-driven operating model — driving business transformation, optimizing portfolio investments, and leading organizational change to unlock growth across emerging technologies and market segments.

We're looking for someone who combines strong commercial acumen, executive relationship management, and digital platform expertise with a proven track record of leading growth strategies in complex technology ecosystems.

Your Role:
Portfolio Leadership & Business Performance
  • Own end-to-end business performance for a defined portfolio — revenue, contribution margin, profitability, market share, and platform adoption – with full accountability for financial outcomes against the plan targets
  • Develop and execute multi-year growth strategies across technology categories and vendor segments.
  • Set portfolio investment priorities based on growth potential, profitability, and strategic alignment.
  • Lead performance reviews and business planning to hit financial and operational targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities, emerging technologies, and competitive threats.
  • Bring an entrepreneurial mindset to the business, proactively pursuing growth and scale rather than managing to a steady state
Vendor & Executive Partnership Strategy
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with vendor leadership, channel partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Negotiate strategic agreements and joint business plans that drive measurable growth for both parties.
  • Serve as the internal advocate for vendor priorities while balancing Ingram Micro's strategic objectives.
  • Lead vendor segmentation and engagement strategy to maximize portfolio value.
  • Influence vendor investment decisions and platform adoption efforts.
Digital & Platform Growth
  • Drive adoption of Ingram Micro Xvantage™ to improve customer experience and business performance.
  • Design platform-first go-to-market strategies using digital campaigns, analytics, and automation.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and platform operations teams to convert digital insights into revenue.
  • Build scalable programs that improve partner engagement, customer acquisition, and retention.
Innovation & Organizational Leadership
  • Champion the adoption of AI-enabled tools and intelligent automation to improve productivity and decision-making.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams across vendor management, business development, and growth functions.
  • Drive organizational transformation — operating model redesign, process optimization, and change management.
  • Build a culture of accountability, agility, and customer-centric execution; attract, develop, and retain top talent.
Financial & Strategic Planning
  • Own financial forecasting and margin management for the portfolio while clearly communicating the financial reasoning behind decisions to stakeholders
  • Develop business cases and investment strategies to maximize contribution margin and long-term portfolio value.
  • Use advanced analytics and financial modeling to evaluate opportunities, risks, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and report on key business performance indicators at the executive level.
Success in This Role

Success will be measured through:

  • Revenue growth and market-share expansion
  • Contribution margin improvement
  • Vendor retention and strategic partner satisfaction
  • Platform adoption and utilization rates
  • Digital demand generation performance
  • AI and automation adoption outcomes
  • Team engagement and talent development
  • Execution of transformation initiatives
  • Customer and partner experience metrics
  • Best practice sharing and scaling growth strategies across many categories
What you bring to the role:
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology distribution, vendor management, category management, channel strategy, cloud, or technology services.
  • Demonstrated ownership of P&L performance with a track record of delivering sustainable revenue and profitability growth.
  • Experience leading large-scale business transformation, turnaround, or growth acceleration initiatives.
  • Proven success building executive relationships with vendor leadership and strategic partners.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Experience operating effectively in large, matrixed, multinational organizations.

  • Deep understanding of cloud, cybersecurity, modern infrastructure, workplace technologies, AI, and emerging technology markets.
  • Experience managing large vendor portfolios, ecosystem partnerships, or multi-category business units.
  • Experience managing and developing managers or team leaders, not solely individual contributors
  • A bias for action and comfort operating in ambiguity, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution
  • Track record of taking small and emerging vendor relationships to material contributors in the portfolio, with ability to identify actual growth potential
