Director, Go To Market (7 Month Contract)

As a Director, Go To Market, you will be a key member of our leadership team responsible for designing and executing the global GTM Strategy for the Hootsuite platform. Your role includes leading product launches, defining KPIs, and aligning go-to-market strategies worldwide to ensure successful launches and growth. You will provide strategic insights, conduct market and customer analysis, and shape product roadmaps to drive business results.

You will develop compelling messaging and work closely with marketing and sales to craft impactful product stories. Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing Strategy, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, sales, marketing, customer success, operations, and legal to implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies that drive revenue and market expansion.

This is a remote-first role, open to applicants in regions where we have legal hiring entities.

What You’ll Do
  1. Lead and manage a global go-to-market team, including product marketing and revenue enablement, focusing on coaching, mentoring, and performance management with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  2. Define and oversee the execution of the global GTM strategy, ensuring alignment with business and revenue goals, and maintaining market relevance to generate demand and pipeline.
  3. Manage the end-to-end product launch process, from planning to execution, ensuring successful market introduction.
  4. Set KPI targets for marketing and enablement initiatives, and present these to senior leadership for buy-in and continuous improvement.
  5. Provide strategic guidance on market opportunities, product roadmaps, competitive landscape, and customer needs, delivering insights to leadership to enhance revenue and outcomes.
  6. Develop and oversee messaging and positioning strategies that differentiate Hootsuite products, translating these into marketing briefs and campaigns.
  7. Collaborate with product management, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of GTM strategies.
What You’ll Need
  • 15+ years of product marketing experience, including at least 3 years leading PMMs or GTM managers, with a proven record of managing successful GTM strategies for new products/services.
  • Deep understanding of B2B SaaS, the technology industry, and customer challenges in social media management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to listen and clarify.
  • Strong influence skills to persuade and gain support from stakeholders.
  • Decisiveness in choosing optimal solutions for business challenges.
  • Experience in process and project management to coordinate complex initiatives.
  • Ability to build inclusive, cohesive teams that leverage diversity to achieve goals.
  • Proven ability to deliver results through others, setting clear directions and helping teams excel.
  • Strategic thinking to identify key issues and develop comprehensive plans.

Compensation

Canada: $140,700—$183,000 CAD
US: $153,800—$200,000 USD
