IDEX Corporation seeks a Director of Global Quality for Pneumatics to drive quality strategy across Gast, Airtech, and U.S. Valve.

You will standardize processes, lead a global quality organization, and partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain to improve customer satisfaction and reduce risk. Ideal candidate has 10+ years in quality leadership in industrial manufacturing, and strong experience with QMS, SPC, CAPA, and Lean Six Sigma.

Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of quality management systems and ISO 9001 or comparable standards.
  • Audit management experience and knowledge of SPC, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and Lean/Six Sigma methods.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global quality strategy aligned with priorities, regulatory requirements, and standards.
  • Build a standardized global quality operating model across sites and functions.
  • Establish and maintain quality dashboards for customer satisfaction, complaints, defects, warranty trends, supplier performance, audits, and CAPA effectiveness.
  • Define and deploy critical quality metrics with clear definitions, targets, ownership, and cadence.
  • Lead customer quality performance, including issue resolution, root-cause analysis, CAPA, and reduction of repeat non-conformances.
  • Strengthen sustaining quality processes by monitoring defects, scrap, warranty, audits, and quality trends; translate data into actions.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to improve supplier quality and drive corrective actions with critical suppliers.
  • Embed quality planning into new product introductions with design reviews, validation, FMEA, control plans, and production handoff.
  • Communicate quality priorities and risks across the organization and ensure timely follow-through.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global quality organization focused on continuous improvement.

As part of IDEX Corporation, we leverage global reach and a culture of innovation to enable the technologies shaping modern life.**Position Summary**The Director of Global Quality is to lead the quality strategy, systems, processes, and performance standards across the Pneumatics Platform, including Gast Manufacturing, Airtech Vacuum, and U.S. Valve. This leader will build and scale a global quality function with standardized processes, common operating rhythms, and clear performance expectations across manufacturing sites and business teams. The role will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Product Development, Supply Chain, Commercial, Customer Service, and executive stakeholders to improve customer satisfaction, strengthen system quality, reduce quality risk, and create a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.**Key Responsibilities*** Develop and execute a global quality strategy aligned with business priorities, customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and applicable quality management standards.* Build a standardized global quality operating model, including common processes, procedures, metrics, governance routines, escalation paths, and accountability mechanisms across sites and functions.* Establish and maintain quality dashboards that provide clear visibility to customer satisfaction, customer complaints, repeat issues, warranty trends, internal defects, supplier performance, audit findings, corrective action effectiveness, and overall system quality.* Define and deploy critical quality metrics with consistent definitions, targets, ownership, and review cadence to ensure decisions are data-driven and performance gaps are addressed quickly.* Lead customer quality performance, including issue resolution, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and reduction of repeat non-conformances.* Strengthen sustaining quality processes by monitoring defects, scrap, rework, warranty claims, audit findings, and quality trends; translate data into practical improvement actions.* Partner with Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing to improve supplier quality performance, conduct supplier reviews, and drive corrective action plans with critical suppliers.* Embed quality planning into new product introduction through design reviews, validation planning, FMEA, control plans, launch readiness, and production handoff.* Communicate quality priorities, risks, trends, and corrective actions clearly across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders and timely follow-through on commitments.* Lead, coach, and develop a global quality organization, including site quality leaders and quality engineering talent, while building a culture of continuous improvement and disciplined execution.**Education & Experience*** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Operations, or a related technical field; master’s degree preferred.* 10+ years of progressive quality leadership experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or engineered products environment.* Experience leading quality across multiple sites, regions, business units, or manufacturing locations, with demonstrated ability to standardize processes in a matrixed environment.* Strong working knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001 or comparable standards, audit management, statistical process control, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and Lean/Six Sigma methods.* Demonstrated track record improving customer satisfaction, reducing defects, resolving customer issues, strengthening supplier performance, and improving quality system maturity.* Strong analytical capability with experience creating and using quality dashboards, KPI scorecards, ERP/PLM data, SPC tools, or similar systems to identify trends, prioritize action, and measure progress.* Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills, with the ability to influence Operations, Engineering, Product Development, Supply Chain, Commercial, Customer Service, and executive teams.* Quality certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Manager, or Six Sigma Black Belt are preferred.*IDEX Corporation provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, medical condition, genetic information, military and veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, gender, gender expression, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by local law, regulation, or ordinance.
