Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ten (10) years maritime petroleum industry experience required.
• Five (5) years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MPC's Blue Water Marine Assurance program and ensure documents meet regulatory and best-practice standards.
• Direct an international team of maritime professionals to vet vessels, terminals, STS locations and marine service providers.
• Coordinate inspections by tanker, barge and tug contractors worldwide to ensure safety and integrity of assets.
• Provide subject‑matter expert support for marine risk to the MPC/MPLX enterprise.
• Manage assessments of time-chartered operators and follow‑up meetings to address actions.
• Maintain relationships with operators and engage in in-person meetings; represent Marathon with OCIMF committees.
