Job summary

TMF Group is seeking a senior finance leader in the San Diego area to direct accounting, tax, and regulatory functions for fund operations. You will oversee valuations, reporting, and client engagements while guiding the team on best practices, profitability, and process improvements.

The role requires 10–12 years in financial leadership with venture/private equity fund knowledge. MBA/CPA preferred; hybrid/remote work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
• MBA plus CPA or EA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct accounting, controls, tax functions, banking, and regulatory compliance for clients.
• Lead client relationships and protect TMF brand and referrals.
• Oversee fund-related reporting, valuations, and distributions.
• Supervise tax and audit processes to meet client expectations.
• Review and draft SOWs and service agreements for prospective work.
• Manage team performance reviews, budgeting, and staffing needs.
• Champion process improvements to boost efficiency and profitability.
• Serve as a technical resource on complex structuring and fees.
