Sponsor digitalization, automation, workflow, reporting, and system enhancement initiatives in partnership with Technology and business stakeholders. Create and govern policies, standard operating procedures, work instructions, templates, and controls for collections and appeals. Use data and trend analysis to identify systemic defects, quantify impact, prioritize improvements, and monitor sustained results. Ensure business continuity, workload balancing, and appropriate coverage during periods of absence or increased demand.
Build effective partnerships across Funding, Billing, Finance, Accounting, Customer Service, Sales, Compliance, and Technology. Represent the collections function in interdepartmental meetings, initiatives, audits, and training sessions. Promote transparent communication and bridge organizational silos to support company-wide goals.

Ensure regular communication, team forums, leadership routines, and recognition practices are in place. Oversee performance documentation and development planning in accordance with company policies. Develop training and knowledge resources for Collections and partner teams, including new-hire training and role-based learning.
Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, third-party payer rules, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Maintain effective operational controls, documentation standards, approval practices, and audit readiness. Partner with Compliance and Legal resources, as appropriate, to address payer, regulatory, customer, and operational risk.
