Director, FRG Client Optimization & Prime Financing Liquidity

The Financial Resources Group (FRG) sits within Prime Finance and focuses on optimizing client portfolio financing across cleared and bilateral activity, including cash, swaps, and prime brokerage. The team partners closely with Trading, Sales, Account Management, Platform, and Risk to drive capital-efficient growth, enhance returns, and deliver strategic financing solutions.

The FRG Client Optimization & Prime Financing Liquidity role is a senior position focused on client-facing optimization initiatives across synthetic and prime brokerage activity. This role is centered on improving capital and liquidity efficiency, advancing clearing strategy, and delivering measurable profitability enhancements across the Prime Financing franchise. In addition, there will be a key focus on client liquidity attributions and coordination with Global Liquidity Management team on stress liquidity usage for the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic engagement with clients on clearing structure, capacity, collateral optimization, and portfolio financing solutions to improve capital efficiency and returns
  • Define and execute clearing and optimization strategy across Prime Financing, including CCP engagement and cross-margining opportunities
  • Identify and implement optimization strategies across cleared and bilateral portfolios, including compression, novation, and balance sheet efficiency initiatives
  • Apply deep expertise in capital and liquidity frameworks (e.g., SLR, LCR, NSFR, SA-CCR) to inform trading and financing decisions
  • Partner with Trading, Sales, Account Management, Platform, Risk, and Legal to align on regulatory requirements and deliver scalable financing solutions
  • Engage with clearing houses, industry groups, and internal stakeholders to navigate market structure changes, rulebook developments, and new product onboarding
  • Forecast financing demand, balance sheet usage, and resource requirements to support disciplined growth and portfolio scalability
  • Contribute to governance, stress testing, and regulatory engagement related to capital, liquidity, and clearing activities
Required Skills & Experience
  • Extensive experience in Prime Financing, clearing, or capital optimization within Global Markets
  • Deep understanding of CCP structures, margin methodologies, and collateral optimization strategies
  • Strong knowledge of capital and liquidity frameworks (SA-CCR, SLR, LCR, NSFR) and their impact on financing businesses
  • Proven track record of leading client engagements and delivering financing or optimization solutions across asset classes
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and internal risk/governance functions
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on improving ROA and balance sheet efficiency
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Established relationships across clearing houses and the broader market infrastructure ecosystem

Preferred Profile

  • Background in resource management, firm financing strategy, or margin/capital optimization
  • Experience managing or overseeing global portfolios across equities, fixed income, and derivatives
  • Prior leadership experience with direct team management

Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in Global Markets, Prime Brokerage, Financing, or related areas

Pay and benefits information

Pay range $300,000.00 - $300,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
