Job summary

AdvaGen Pharma seeks a Director of FP&A and Commercial Finance to act as the strategic finance partner to Sales, Marketing, Warehousing, and Distribution, translating commercial strategies into actionable financial insights.

You will lead FP&A activities including forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning, with ownership of deliverables and robust revenue/profitability analysis. The role also focuses on improving forecasting accuracy and data quality.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline preferred.
• Experience with SAP and ERP systems required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic finance partner to senior leaders, influencing commercial strategy and investment decisions.
• Lead FP&A activities, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning, with direct ownership of deliverables.
• Analyze revenue performance, customer and product profitability, pricing, promotions, and incentive programs.
• Provide variance analysis and actionable insights into sales performance, margins, spend efficiency, and ROI.
• Support deal reviews, contract evaluations, and ad hoc commercial analyses.
• Partner with Sales Operations on incentive compensation analysis, plan design, and performance tracking.
• Collaborate with accounting to align forecasts, accruals, and close activities.
• Build and enhance dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility into commercial performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and data quality across commercial finance activities.
• Influence decision-making while maintaining objectivity and financial discipline.
• Assist with ensuring GTN reconciliations, accruals, and forecasts shared by business partners.
• Lead the business finance and commercial FPA function across North America.

• Director of FPA and Commercial Finance is responsible for serving as a strategic finance partner to the Sales, Marketing, Warehousing, and Distribution organizations, providing financial planning, analysis, and decision support to drive profitable growth. This role will translate commercial strategies into financial insights, support pricing and promotional decisions, evaluate go-to-market initiatives, and improve forecasting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a strategic finance partner to senior leaders, influencing commercial strategy and investment decisions
• Lead FP&A activities, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning, with direct ownership of deliverables
• Analyze revenue performance, customer and product profitability, pricing, promotions, and incentive programs
• Provide variance analysis and actionable insights into sales performance, margins, spend efficiency, and ROI
• Support deal reviews, contract evaluations, and ad hoc commercial analyses
• Partner with Sales Operations on incentive compensation analysis, plan design, and performance tracking
• Collaborate closely with accounting to ensure alignment between forecasts, accruals, and actuals, and to support close activities as needed
• Build and enhance dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility into commercial performance
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and data quality across commercial finance activities, drive overall financial performance and working capital optimization
• Influence decision-making while maintaining objectivity and financial discipline
• Assist with ensuring the adequacy of GTN reconciliations, accruals, forecast shared by business partners
• Responsible for leading the business finance and commercial FPA function, measuring team and company performance objectively through various KPIs, while driving across North America operations

Skills and Qualification:

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in finance
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline is strongly preferred, but may not be required depending on specific experience
• Experience in SAP, ERP Systems, revenue management systems (iContracts, Model N, Revitas, Vistex)
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, across departments and levels
• Able to handle multiple tasks and stay organized
• Strong attention to detail, ability to implement change management, strong problem-solving ability
