- System Consolidation Strategy: Inherit a dual-system landscape (IBM Planning Analytics and Workday Adaptive Planning) to evaluate, test, and select the single go-forward enterprise architecture.
- Team Leadership & Upskilling: Lead, mentor, and cross-train an internal team of two direct reports (Systems Administrator and Analytics Specialist), keeping morale high and expanding their skill sets during platform changes.
- Culture of Automation: Drive a cultural shift away from manual spreadsheet assembly, empowering the broader FP&A team to focus on proactive, high-value strategic analysis.
What you’ll be doing
- Strategic Insights & ROI Optimization: Leverage automated reporting and financial data to surface actionable insights that drive long-term corporate strategy, optimize capital allocation, and maximize ROI across Content, Product, and Marketing investments.
- Direct Team Management: Manage day-to-day workflows for two direct reports, balancing immediate reporting and analytics demands with major project milestones for the system transition.
- Bespoke Business Partnership: Partner directly with decentralized FP&A teams across all business segments to audit their unique workflows and build tailored, automated financial modeling solutions.
- Migration Execution & Vendor Management: Direct external implementation consultants and manage vendor relationships to execute the definitive "rip and replace" system migration on time, within budget, and with zero disruption to close cycles.
- Workflow & Close Optimization: Automate data pipelines and standard reporting decks to drastically reduce monthly close and forecast cycle times.
- Change Management & Governance: Establish strict system access controls, data hierarchy standards, and cross-functional user training programs to drive company-wide platform adoption.
Qualifications
- Progressive FP&A Experience: 10+ years of experience across FP&A, Finance Transformation, or Financial Systems, ideally within a high-growth, multi-segment technology company.
- Dual System Expertise: Hands-on architectural and administrative knowledge of both Workday Adaptive Planning and IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), or comparable enterprise planning platforms.
- Migration Track Record: Proven success leading end-to-end platform consolidations, vendor bake-offs, and full-lifecycle system implementations.
- People Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage and upskill technical team members through organizational change and software transitions.
- Modern Analytics Stack: Working knowledge of modern data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), SQL, data warehousing, or automation tools, with the ability to explain technical concepts to business leaders.
- Commercial Acumen & Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field (MBA/CPA preferred), paired with a deep understanding of tech P&L drivers and subscription metrics.
