Job summary

Whitley Penn in Austin, TX seeks a Forensic Litigation & Valuation Services Director to lead engagements related to marital property, business valuations, and damages in family law and business disputes. You will direct projects and coordinate with outside counsel to ensure high-quality client service.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting/finance with leadership, a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance, and experience in litigation/expert services. CPA or advanced degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance with leadership responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Broad background in litigation/expert services and damages calculations in various matters.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Direct forensic accounting, litigation support and valuation engagements related to marital property and divorce-related financial issues.
• Identify issues, communicate with Managing Directors, and make strategic recommendations with strong analytical skills.
• Deliver complete reports to the Managing Director for review with supporting documents.
• Prepare testifying expert for depositions and trials with organized files and exhibits.
• Initiate business development and develop internal/external networks; participate in marketing and training.
• Lead departmental training for associates and foster continuous learning.
• Review Associates’ work and provide corrective feedback.
• Assist in recruiting and developing training materials, and act as instructor in professional development programs.
