Job summary

J.S. Held LLC is seeking an experienced Director to lead engagements in matrimonial litigation, focusing on forensic accounting, valuation, and cash flow analysis. The role involves client relationships, expert testimony, and staff development in a Miami-based practice.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in forensic accounting or financial litigation consulting, with matrimonial/family law focus.
• Experience testifying in court or as an expert witness.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills; ability to translate financial findings for legal audiences.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; CPA preferred.
• Experience managing engagements and supervising junior staff.
• Exposure to expert witness work and family law proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage forensic engagements in matrimonial litigation, including business valuation, income analysis, lifestyle analysis, tracing of separate vs. marital property, and cash flow analysis.
• Oversee day-to-day case workflow, timelines, and deliverables across multiple concurrent matters.
• Prepare and review work product to ensure accuracy.
• Provide expert witness testimony and work closely with clients to build strong relationships.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff including analysts and associates.
• Provide technical guidance and review work product for quality and consistency.
• Contribute to staff training and professional development initiatives.
