Job summary

FGS Global in Washington, DC seeks a Director of Strategic Communications within the Financial Services Policy practice to lead policy messaging, client counsel, and cross‑divisional delivery. You will coordinate a diverse client roster, craft persuasive materials, pitch stories to media, manage multiple projects, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with Associates and other divisions.

• BA/BS degree required and 9–12 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with financial services policy issues preferred.
• Extremely strong writing and communications skills under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day coordinator on a diverse roster of financial services client accounts and projects with focus on policy.
• Craft persuasive messaging and collateral materials; simplify complex policy issues.
• Maintain expert knowledge of evolving policy and reporting trends.
• Generate media outreach strategies and pitch stories regularly.
• Manage multiple projects from concept to completion and review junior work.
• Demonstrate strong client-relations skills and contribute to new business efforts.
• Collaborate with other divisions to deliver integrated services.
