Position Summary...
The Director, Finance leads Walmart’s Fulfillment Center labor-planning organization and is responsible for both the current operating process and its transformation into a more automated, data-driven capability. This role owns the end-to-end mechanism that connects demand, capacity, staffing, productivity, backlog, schedules, and financial outcomes, translating forward-looking gaps into actions such as hiring, overtime, VTO, VOT, labor sharing, and capacity recovery. The Director leads a distributed team of Finance leaders, partners closely with Fulfillment Operations, Product, Data Science, Engineering, Forecasting, and People teams, and drives the adoption of the SCLO Platform and optimization capabilities. The role is accountable for improving plan quality, reducing manual effort, strengthening plan-versus-actual execution, and shifting Finance capacity toward productivity, cost per case, service, and strategic workforce decisions.
What you'll do...
- Lead the network-wide Fulfillment labor-planning process, translating demand, capacity, staffing, productivity, and backlog into executable workforce and financial actions.
- Own labor-plan quality, operating definitions, assumptions, overrides, governance, and plan-versus-actual accountability across the FC network.
- Lead the transition from the current Excel-based process to the SCLO Platform, including future-state process design, business requirements, readiness gates, adoption, support, and change management.
- Partner with Operations, Product, Data Science, Engineering, Forecasting, and People teams to prioritize capabilities and improve the accuracy, automation, and usability of the planning mechanism.
- Strengthen bottom-up AOP planning and connect short-range labor decisions with longer-term hiring, productivity, capacity, and financial plans.
- Lead and develop a distributed team of Finance leaders embedded with FC divisions and sites, creating clear expectations, consistent mechanisms, and strong succession pipelines.
- Quantify the impact of labor decisions on productivity, overtime, backlog, service, cost per case, and the associate experience.
- Establish a future-state operating model that clearly defines business ownership, technical support, field adoption, and the responsibilities retained by centralized SCLO teams.

- Experience partnering with Product, Data Science, Engineering, Operations, and People teams to translate business needs into scalable capabilities.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, including forecasting, scenario modeling, variance analysis, AOP, and business-case development.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders, challenge unsupported assumptions, and translate complex analysis into clear operating decisions.
