Transamerica Corporation is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the Life product line’s reporting, analysis, and communications across IFRS, US GAAP, and capital reporting frameworks. You will partner with Actuarial, FP&A, Capital Management, Investments, and business leaders to drive accurate, timely financial results.

You will mentor a team of finance professionals, own SOX controls, and lead initiatives to improve reporting, data, and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
  • CPA and/or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years in accounting/finance with prior management experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee quarterly financial reporting and close for the Life product line across IFRS, U.S. GAAP, and capital reporting.
  • Provide insight into financial performance by identifying drivers, trends, risks, and issues to leadership.
  • Partner with Actuarial, FP&A, Capital Management, Investments, and business units to align results and analysis.
  • Provide Finance leadership for business initiatives and reporting changes affecting Life.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team; allocate resources and drive execution.
  • Maintain SOX controls and resolve reporting errors and deficiencies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting, analytics, data, and processes.

Provide leadership and insight into business performance, partnering closely with Actuarial, FP&A, Capital Management, Investments, business leaders, and other Finance teams.
