Job summary

The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) in Washington, DC, seeks a Director of Federal Government Affairs to shape federal policy, lead lobbying efforts, and coordinate with industry coalitions to advance member priorities in healthcare distribution. You will develop strategy with the SVP, build Capitol Hill relationships, monitor federal legislation, and provide timely briefings to members.

This role blends policy, advocacy, and collaboration across distributors, manufacturers, and providers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of legislative experience.
• Extensive understanding of federal legislative processes and, preferably, healthcare issues.
• Experience on Capitol Hill preferred, with a current network of contacts and relationships and the willingness and ability to establish new ones.

As the Director of Federal Government Affairs, you will work closely with the SVP of Federal Government Affairs & Alliance Development to develop strategy and positions on federal legislative issues.You will conduct direct lobbying and coordinate with industry coalitions on legislative activities that relate to HDA interests, as well as keep members informed of current or prospective developments in a timely manner.This position is hybrid, requiring three days (Tuesday-Thursday) in the office each week.

Salary Range: $135,350 - $155,500
