• Requires Ph.D., D.D.S./D.M.D., M.D., or equivalent degree and strong knowledge of dental, medical and scientific areas.
• Experience in setting, planning, implementing, and analyzing program objectives and priorities including management of financial and human resources.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops and manages research supported by grants, cooperative agreements and contracts.
• Oversees program priorities and funding strategies to achieve portfolio goals.
• Collaborates with intramural and extramural staff and maintains awareness of national trends in relevant research areas.
• Advises on extramural research and science to Institute Director and advisory groups.
