Job summary

The James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina invites applications for a full-time Director of Dental External Clinics (Nexton and WAMP).

This role provides leadership over dental faculty and staff, with potential to participate clinically one day per week, reporting to the Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs. Ideal candidates will have a DDS/DMD with SC licensure eligibility, strong leadership in a large group practice, and experience with practice

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree with license or eligibility to practice dentistry in South Carolina.
• Leadership experience in a large group practice is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to build relationships with administrative staff, clinical staff and faculty.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs to set staffing and financial goals.
• Oversee dental faculty practice providers to create a thriving work environment for patients.
• Lead off-campus clinics development, performance and production goal setting.
• Ensure high-quality patient care, financial sustainability and compliance with regulations.
