Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a Director of Experiential Education in the School of Pharmacy, responsible for planning and oversight of its experiential programs. The role requires coordinating courses, managing affiliation sites, and ensuring ACPE standards compliance.

The Director leads administration, quality assurance, and preceptor engagement while supervising two support staff. Teaching duties in the PharmD program and committee participation are expected.

Qualifications

• MS, M.Ed. or other Master’s degree in a related field.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and provide effective problem solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of FERPA and handling student information.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership and strategic oversight for experiential education programs.
• Ensure alignment with ACPE standards, and PharmD program requirements.
• Manage course coordination, scheduling, and affiliation agreements with sites.
• Represent experiential education on School committees and governance.
• Oversee quality assurance and continuous improvement of experiential education.
