Job summary

S&P Global is seeking a senior Enterprise Architect to lead the Enterprise Data Organization’s architecture strategy. The role focuses on unifying architectures across business, capability, information, technical, and solution domains, guiding project teams, and shaping enterprise standards.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to define vision, manage transformative programs, and ensure alignment with blueprints, patterns, and governance. Hybrid work in the US is expected.

Qualifications

  • Influence and partner with senior product, technology, and business leaders to align technology decisions with investment priorities.
  • Deep expertise in data architecture and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS or Azure).
  • Strategic mindset with understanding of data and software lifecycle to support enterprise needs.
  • 12+ years in enterprise architecture leading initiatives and driving business value.
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS or related; Master’s degree or MBA is a plus; architecture certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support development, maintenance and governance of enterprise architectures across domains.
  • Guide delivery of architecture direction for strategic initiatives across EDO.
  • Develop architectural approaches and manage large-scale transformation programs.
  • Provide guidance for initiatives and designs ensuring alignment with standards and blueprints.
  • Document and publish DAB decisions and rationale; escalate to EARB as needed.
  • Identify gaps and enhance architecture frameworks, roadmaps and patterns.
  • Engage with central EA office to drive community engagement and knowledge sharing.

The Team:

The Enterprise Data Organization (EDO) is a unified team focused on transforming our exceptional data assets. Unity is built and reinforced at each layer of the organization, a principle that helps toestablishour core purpose: ensuring coordination, collaboration, and transparency across the entire EDO Technology team

EDO EnterpriseArchitecture is responsible for ensuring a unified technology strategy that aligns with the goals of the EDO as a whole. This does not mean EDO Architecture will act as a singular body for reviewing individual solutions’ architecture choices. Instead, this group will act as the centralization point for information sharing to minimize or eliminate repetition, drift, and other common problems with systems architecture at scale.


Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Support the development, maintenance, and governance of enterprise-wide architectures across business, capability, information, technical, and solution domains, including collaboratingwith senior executives to define the enterprise architecture vision and strategy.

  • Guide and govern the delivery of architecture guidance to project teams andestablisharchitectural direction for key strategic initiatives across theEDO.

  • Develop architectural approach & principles and manage large-scale transformation programs.

  • Providearchitectural guidance for initiatives and solution designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, principles, patterns, blueprints, etc., and escalatedecisions to EARB asrequired.

  • Ensure DAB decisions, rationales, and approved architecture standards are clearly documented, published, and communicated effectively, in alignment with the tooling and repository recommendations.

  • Identifygaps in architectural assets to provide guidance on enhancing architecture frameworks,blueprints, roadmaps, and design patterns.

  • Conduct quarterly capability matrix reviews to inform a summarized EARB capability review for the TLT view.

  • Support architecture asset owners to develop standards and resolve challenges with their application.

  • Engage with the central EA office to drive community engagement, capabilityroadmapsand knowledge sharing.

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner withSenior Product, Technology, and Business leaders to align technology & architectural decisions with investment prioritization.

  • Deepexpertisein one or more core architectural domains: Data Architecture, Cloud Platforms (GCP,AWS,orAzure)

  • Strategic partnership lens, with understanding of the entire data & software lifecycle, to enable comprehensive support ofEnterprise Data Organizationneeds.

  • Expertisein developing clear Points of View on technology, industry, and market trends, anddeterminingtheir quantifiable potential impact on the enterprise.

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or related fields, demonstrating a strong track record of leading architectural initiatives and driving business value through technology alignment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related discipline; Master’s or MBA is a plus. Relevant architecture certifications are desirable.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Globalstatesthat theanticipatedbase salary range for this position is $170,000 to $210,000. The final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses,and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Location:
This role is required to be hybrid, working 2-3 days a week at one of the listed U.S.-based offices.
