Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Director of Engineering / Team Lead to define and execute a scalable, AI-enabled marketing platform strategy. You will architect cloud-native systems, orchestrate real-time decisioning, and drive cross-functional collaboration across Product, Data, Marketing, and external platforms.

You will mentor a growing engineering team, own key architectural decisions, and ensure reliability, security, and performance across data pipelines and activation workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years software engineering experience with leadership experience.
• Expertise in cloud environments, data platforms, and system integrations for media/marketing workflows.
• Proven delivery of complex, cross-functional, global platform initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute platform vision and strategy for scalable AI-enabled marketing platforms.
• Lead, mentor, and scale the engineering team; own critical technical decisions.
• Design distributed, cloud-native, AI-forward systems across data platforms, APIs, and activations.
• Own end-to-end delivery with CI/CD and automation; monitor deployment velocity and data accuracy.
• Partner with Product, Data, Marketing, and external platforms to translate business needs into scalable systems.

Director Engineering / Team Lead - AI-enabled marketing platforms

What They Will Do

• Define and execute platform vision; build reusable, scalable self-service data access, segmentation, and activation; standardize integrations across data, cloud, CRM, and media.
• Architect AI-driven/agentic systems with real-time decisioning and orchestration; enable audience creation and activation across CRM/media; build pipelines and services for scalable AI/ML use cases and continuous learning.
• Lead, mentor, and scale engineering team; own critical technical decisions; drive engineering excellence (design, code quality, reliability).
• Design distributed, cloud-native, AI-forward systems that are scalable, secure, and highly available; lead architecture across data platforms, APIs, integrations, and activation pipelines (resilience, performance, compliance).
• Own end-to-end delivery; establish CI/CD and automation; track metrics (data accuracy, deployment velocity, speed to activation).
• Partner with Product, Data, Marketing, and external platforms; translate business needs into scalable systems; communicate clearly to executives.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years software engineering experience; lead/mentor technical teams.
• Expertise in cloud environments, data platforms, and system integrations for media/marketing workflows.
• Proven delivery of complex, cross-functional, global platform initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• MarTech/AdTech experience (DSPs, CRM, data activation platforms).
• AI/ML systems, real-time data pipelines, decisioning frameworks.
• Platform engineering/internal developer platforms.
• Product-led, outcome-driven experience.
