Job summary

Federato is seeking a Director of Infrastructure to lead our SRE, Infrastructure, and Security teams. You will partner with Engineering, Product, and Customer teams to build a scalable, reliable platform and improve operational efficiency.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance strategic vision with technical credibility, review architectures, and contribute when appropriate. Excellent communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years leading high-performing infrastructure, platform, SRE, or DevOps engineering teams.
• Experience managing senior and Staff-level engineers while creating an environment where experienced technical leaders can thrive.
• Strong background building and operating cloud infrastructure for B2B enterprise SaaS products, ideally within high-growth startup environments.
• Able to balance strategic leadership with technical credibility, including participating in architectural reviews and technical discussions.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with experience partnering across engineering, executive leadership, and customer-facing teams.

Role Overview

Our Infrastructure team is responsible for the platform that powers everything we build. From cloud infrastructure and site reliability to security, this team ensures our platform is scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-efficient as we continue to grow. You'll lead a senior, highly technical team that partners closely with Engineering, Product, and Customer teams to build the operational foundation that enables the rest of the company to move quickly and confidently.

As our Director of Infrastructure, you'll own both our Infrastructure/SRE and Security functions while helping shape the long-term technical strategy for the platform. This is an opportunity for a leader who enjoys building teams, improving engineering execution, and remaining technically engaged without needing to be the primary architect or hands-on contributor.

$250,000 - $275,000 a year

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. Total compensation package includes stock options, benefits, and additional perks.
