Position Title: Director, Endocrine Oncology Program

Department of Medicine

HMFP at BIDMC

Harvard Medical School

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), in close collaboration with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), is seeking a BC/BE endocrinologist with expertise in thyroid and other endocrine cancers to serve in the newly created position of Director of the Endocrine Oncology Program. This leadership position offers the opportunity to help build and advance an integrated endocrine cancer program spanning BIDMC and DFCI.

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism is in the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a Harvard Medical School (HMS) affiliated institution. The Division seeks an endocrinologist with significant experience in the care and management of patients with thyroid cncer and other endocrine neoplasias. Expertise in thyroid ultrasound and biopsy is required, and the successful applicant should also have demonstrated research experience and potential to develop a nationally recognized program in endocrine cancer. An academic rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine at HMS will be conferred based on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities include ambulatory and inpatient endocrine practice, in addition to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

The successful candidate will play a key role in building an integrated endocrine cancer program across BIDMC and DFCI, working closely with colleagues in endocrinology, medical oncology, surgery, and nuclear medicine to advance clinical care, research, and programmatic development in thyroid cancer. The position provides a unique opportunity to participate directly in the newly established BIDMC–DFCI cancer collaboration. Importantly, the successful candidate will have dedicated ambulatory clinic time at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, allowing for direct clinical integration with the DFCI thyroid cancer program and its multidisciplinary teams.

BIDMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions, or any other characteristic protected by law.
