Chesapeake Regional Healthcare seeks a Director to provide strategic oversight of Emergency Services and Trauma, ensuring optimal patient care and professional relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff in line with our service excellence standards.
You will lead service line operations, mentor the leadership team, manage resources and budget, and drive performance improvements to meet American College of Surgeons standards and organizational goals.
Manages strategic oversight and operational performance within the Emergency Services and Trauma service line. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with service excellence standards and core values. The Director assumes authority and responsibility for the delivery of optimal patient care within assigned departments and for the effective operation and organization of the trauma program and its services.
Reports to: Chief Nursing Officer
Supervises: Manager Emergency Department/ED Observation, Trauma Program Manager, Neuroscience Coordinator, other areas as assigned.
Responsibilities: Overall management responsibilities for assigned areas. Responsible/accountable for budget and capital.

Required Education: BSN required. Master’s degree in nursing or related field, required to be obtained within three years of date of hire.
Experience: 4 years nursing leadership experience required. Strong emergency nursing clinical background is required including trauma patient population.
Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Virginia or compact state; Must have current BLS certification. National certification, in clinical specialty or nurse leader, required to be obtained within one year.
