You will lead, mentor, and scale embedded teams to deliver safe, secure, and reliable software from concept through manufacturing, partnering with hardware and systems engineering. Experience in regulated environments and strong C/C++ skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, or equivalent leadership experience in device development.
• 10+ years of embedded software development in regulated environments, preferably medical devices.
• 8+ years in engineering management leading teams and delivering results.
• Strong C/C++ in Linux/RTOS, microcontrollers, and low-level drivers.
• Deep knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and FDA software development requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the embedded software strategy, roadmap, and architecture for the medical device portfolio.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent and foster innovation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and lead documentation for submissions.
• Provide technical oversight of embedded design (C/C++, RTOS), hardware interfaces (SPI/I2C/UART/USB/Ethernet).
• Support cybersecurity threat modeling and risk management for devices.
• Collaborate with hardware, product, and clinical teams to optimize system performance.
• Lead cross-project schedules, budgets, and agile processes.
