Job summary

Samsung Research America’s Emerging Technologies Group seeks a Senior Manager who operates at the intersection of hardware expertise, AI trends, and product strategy. You will steer ideation for on-device AI-enabled consumer devices, translating sensor capabilities into world-class products and partnering with external innovators.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD focusing on hardware, sensors or embedded systems.
• 7+ years in consumer electronics hardware tech research with recent PM/strategy focus.
• Deep domain experience in device architecture, SoC, RF, power and sensor fusion.
• Strong understanding of On-Device AI and AI accelerators and edge computing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market trends, breakthroughs in hardware technologies relevant to Samsung consumer electronics.
• Evaluate emerging hardware technologies for product viability (sensors, AI accelerators, MEMS).
• Synthesize trends with feasibility to propose next-gen devices where AI differentiates product.
• Bridge R&D, engineering and business strategy to turn concepts into roadmaps.
• Foster relationships with startups, VCs, accelerators and universities; communicate value to Samsung R&D leaders.
• Lead rapid prototyping, BOM modeling, and risk analysis for new concepts; drive development plans.
• Lead discussions with partners and drive POC efforts toward partnerships, commercialization or M&A.
• Address ambiguity with strategic thinking and tactical execution.
