Job summary

Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition.

We are seeking a senior supply chain leader to build and lead a high-performing team, manage supplier relationships across Asia and North America, and drive end-to-end procurement, inventory and logistics to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and components.

Qualifications

  • Deep procurement and supply chain leadership experience, ideally scaling a new product line from prototype to high volume.
  • Experience in supplier management and operations at manufacturing scale.
  • Hands-on experience developing power electronics supply chains in Asia and North America.
  • Experience building and managing supply chain teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering to understand and project supplier needs before blockers arise.
  • Develop understanding of supplier landscape to identify best partners globally.
  • Build end-to-end purchasing process from quotation to supplier qualification to ongoing relationships.
  • Make trade-off decisions across cost, volume, quality, and speed.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors and partners for timely delivery of materials.
  • Oversee inventory management, demand planning, and logistics to minimize lead times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with engineering to understand and project supplier needs before they become blockers.
  • Develop a nuanced understanding of the power electronics, wire harnessing, and mechanical supplier landscape to identify the best partners globally.
  • Build a robust purchasing process end to end, from quotation to supplier qualification to sustained relationship development.
  • Make clear trade-off decisions across cost, volume, quality, and speed as Redwood's business dynamics shift.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure timely delivery of high- quality materials and components.
  • Oversee inventory management, demand planning, and logistics to ensure product availability and minimize lead times.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supply chain challenges and implement solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to supply chain operations.
  • Build, lead, and structure a high-performing supply chain team for products.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
  • Rapidly synthesize findings and communicate them clearly to senior leaders.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the business.
