UF Health seeks a Director of Development to lead a comprehensive major gifts program supporting UF Health, College of Medicine and related initiatives. You will identify, cultivate, solicit and steward prospects capable of $100,000+ commitments, working with alumni, friends and faculty.

Hybrid roles and multiple Florida locations are considered, with collaboration across executive leadership and development teams to drive fundraising strategy and donor engagement in a leading public research

Qualifications

• Three to five years of major gift fundraising experience with documented success cultivating and soliciting gifts of $100,000+
• Campaign experience in a development setting
• Prior experience in a college or university setting
• Knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and CASE standards
• Ability to work strategically and develop constituency programs and activities
• Ability to motivate volunteers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Overview

Responsibilities

UF Health is currently seeking a Director, Development to work collaboratively and strategically with the Executive Director of Development in building and maintaining a comprehensive major gifts program for UF Health, College of Medicine and other initiatives as assigned. This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects for UF Health, including alumni, friends, and faculty, with an emphasis on individuals capable of making $100,000+ or greater commitments. The Director is also responsible for implementation of a broad range of support programs for the UF Health with focus on grateful patient and alumni giving specific to a few medicine departments. Hybrid options and various Florida locations considered.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience in Development or a related field; or
• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and five years of experience in Development or a related field.

• Campaign experience.
