Job summary

Alteryx is seeking a Director, Developer Platform Engineering to own the strategy and evolution of the platforms, tooling, and practices that power software delivery org-wide. You'll lead the Developer Experience vision — enabling 600+ engineers to build, test, deploy, and operate software faster and more reliably.

Your team covers developer productivity, CI/CD, testing infrastructure, local dev environments, release engineering, and AI-powered engineering enablement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with leadership of platform or developer infrastructure teams.
• 5+ years leading managers in large technical organizations.
• Proven track record setting platform strategy for orgs with hundreds of engineers.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and developer experience practices.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term platform strategy and roadmap.
• Own the developer journey from local dev to production.
• Modernize CI/CD platforms and standardize pipelines.
• Establish testing infrastructure for unit and integration tests.
• Lead adoption of GenAI and agentic tooling for coding and docs.
• Define KPIs and dashboards to guide investment and health.
