The Debit & Money Management team owns the full customer journey—from offer presentment through account booking and servicing—across consumer and business products in North America and Europe. We seek a strategic engineering leader with a proven record of delivering highly available financial products at scale. The ideal candidate brings strong frontend and systems expertise, sound architectural judgment, and experience navigating complex regulatory and partner environments. Success will include accelerating engineering velocity, expanding PayPal’s geographic and product footprint, and increasing market share. Reporting to the Head of Financial Services Engineering, this Director will join the FSCoE leadership team.

The expected range of pay for this role by location is: Primary Location | Pay Range: San Jose, California: ($218,000.00 - $323,950.00 Annually) Additional Location(s) | Pay Range: Chicago, Illinois: ($198,000.00 - $294,250.00 Annually) Austin, Texas: ($198,000.00 - $294,250.00 Annually) Scottsdale, Arizona: ($188,000.00 - $279,400.00 Annually) Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
