Job summary

Novartis seeks a Director of Data Strategy to translate business priorities into integrated roadmaps and scalable data capabilities within the US. You will lead two priority areas—Customer Engagement and Integrated Marketing Organization—across brands, ensuring governance and reuse of data assets.

The role requires 8+ years in data/analytics strategy, strong leadership, and collaboration with Insights, Data Partnerships, Governance, and technology teams to drive value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience developing data or analytics strategies.
• Strong knowledge of life sciences data ecosystems and governance.
• Ability to align stakeholders across functions to data capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional data strategy for two priority US coverage areas, Customer Engagement and Integrated Marketing Organization.
• Advance data strategies that scale customer engagement, omnichannel activation, field execution, marketing effectiveness, segmentation.
• Differentiate horizontal data needs from therapeutic area-specific needs and reflect priorities in roadmaps.
• Align stakeholders across Insights & Analytics, Data Partnerships, Governance, Quality, tech, and vendors.
• Drive transparency, governance, adoption, and value realization with KPI summaries and investment recommendations.
