Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Director - Data Platforms & Architecture to lead a top Energy & Utilities data program. This role will define the enterprise data platform vision and drive architecture decisions for modernization, security, and measurable business value.

You will mentor senior architects and engineers, partner with multiple teams to set shared standards, and guide cloud and data initiatives at scale.

Remote US-based; visa sponsorship not available. Compensation: $162,800–$244,200 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 12+ years delivering enterprise-scale solutions in application development, cloud engineering, DevOps, or data analytics.
• 7+ years leading solution architecture and multi-team development.
• 10+ years in data platforms, data engineering, or consulting with a focus on Databricks.
• Deep architectural expertise with Databricks, including Spark optimization and Delta Lake.

For our client, we are seeking a Director - Data Platforms & Architecture to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space.

This leader will shape the enterprise data platform vision and guide architecture decisions that support modernization, scalability, security, and measurable business value.

In this position, you will mentor senior architects and engineers while influencing execution across programs and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $162,800 – $244,200 annually
