Job description

The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with nearly 4,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.

Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.

The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.

Who we are:

Data Partnerships is the team that identifies, negotiates with, and manages the providers of data that power many of the Trade Desk’s products (think audiences, measurement, identity and more). We pride ourselves on maintaining a robust and vibrant data marketplace to give our clients a breadth of choice in how they operate on the platform. But we do so much more than partner identification and management; Data Partnerships are also strategic thought leaders and partners with Product, Data Science & Engineering teams to design the future of the platform, through the application of our partners’ data.

What you’ll do:

The Measurement Data Partnerships Director is responsible for collaborating with Product, Data Science & Engineering to design the future of measurement on the platform. The team has direct ownership of identifying, maintaining and growing the third‑party partnerships essential to bringing the strategic design to life. Considered an integral part of the Data Partnerships team, you will drive results, frequently turning distinct solutions into best practices that can be implemented across the globe.

  • Identify, negotiate, contract, integrate, manage, optimize, and rationalize data partners to support advertiser’s needs and strategic imperatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop a strategic roadmap to surface measurement results that validate the effectiveness of the platform, leading to enhanced investment.
  • Maintain regular communications and checkpoints with partners to report on performance, innovation and future opportunities that leverage their data to influence advertisers’ campaigns.
  • Work with commercial teams to evangelize, educate and grow the use of partner and platform solutions.
  • Facilitate communication internally and externally related to partnerships (demands, strategies, roadmaps, operational requirements, etc.).
Who you are:
  • 7+ years of experience in partnership development and management with an emphasis on measurement.
  • Adept at both developing strategies and operating day‑to‑day within cross‑functional teams.
  • Manage initiatives in complex matrixed environments and make actionable decisions in the absence of perfect information.
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment that requires context switching several times a day as you cover multiple dimensions within the measurement business.
  • Experience with strategic partner management inclusive of vendor negotiation.
  • Exhibit high emotional intelligence and integrity and build deep consultative partnerships with your business stakeholders.
  • Influence individuals at the executive level and drive strategic business transformations.
  • Track record of helping direct reports grow their capabilities, responsibilities and careers.
